I founded Patina Wealth for one reason; to provide objective and transparent investment advice to my clients. Having worked in the investment industry for 24 years, I have gained a diverse experience working at a large brokerage firm and at a regional Registered Investment Advisor before founding Patina Wealth.

I focus my practice on working with clients who seek assistance investing their assets, helping to build their nest egg to enable them to live a secure retirement lifestyle. I also help small business owners determine which type of retirement plan best suits them and their employees. The fiduciary responsibility I have is what drives me to provide honest and transparent investment solutions for my clients.

Originally from Richmond, I graduated with a degree in Finance from Virginia Tech. After graduating I worked in Richmond until my family and I moved to Crozet in 2012. I strongly believe in giving back to our Crozet community and am the co-founder of the Crozet Car Show which raises money for local charities each year.

I joined Patina as the Director of our Richmond office in 2018 and have worked in the finance industry for more than 15 years. I was excited to reunite with Sam after having met in 2006 while working for a Registered Investment Advisor in Richmond. I truly enjoy my role as an investment advisor, fostering meaningful relationships with my clients and helping them obtain their long-term goals and achieve personal success.

Before Patina, I most recently spent seven years with Xenith Bank, first as an Analyst in the Washington, D.C. office before moving back to Richmond to serve as Vice President on Xenith’s Commercial Banking Team.  I grew up in Richmond, VA and later obtained a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University where I played both basketball and football. I currently serve on the Junior Board of The Faison Center and as a mentor at Anna Julia Cooper Episcopal School.  Outside of the office, I enjoy staying active on the basketball court or the golf course and exploring everything Richmond has to offer with my wife Jackie and two young children.
